Born in Southern California my artistic skills were recognized early around age 5. Since that time I have studied and practiced in a variety of mediums, with emphasis first on drawing, and then on painting and in the last decade on photography.
I received a BFA from the college of Santa Fe, New Mexico. I studied master’s level photography at the Academy of Art in San Francisco for 4 years.
While masters of painting and photography have influenced me, my biggest influences are from traveling, hiking, kayaking and diving. These activities have given me perspective and insight.
I have lived in Kauai, New Mexico, Guemes Island in Washington State, and Sedona, Arizona. I have made my home in a small rural town in northern California. All of these landscapes are part of my soul and thus inform my artwork.
